The activity starts with the visit of installations and laboratories of STELA and INAF Research Centres:

  • Pilot Laboratory
  • Food microbiology Laboratory
  • The Gastronomic Lab facilities
  • Analytical platform
  • In vitro digestion platform
  • Clinical studies unit
  • etc. 

Then at the Grand Marché de Québec visitors will be introduced to the Food incubator Mycelium and its Innovation Centre. Also, encounter with local producers and artisans to discover a variety of local foods. Lunch and product tasting included

Agropur Cooperative Headquarters

Founded in 1938, with sales of $6.7 billion in 2018, Agropur Cooperative is a source of pride to the 3,161 members and 8,800 employees. Agropur processes more than 6.2 billion litres of milk per year at its 39 plants across North America and boasts an impressive roster of respected brands and products.

This activity includes round bus ride from Quebec to Saint-Hubert (total 5 - 6h), visite of Agropur headquarters, meeting with management, visit of the R&D and state-of-the-art distribution centre, tasting of Agropur products and lunch.

Charlevoix terroir region

1- Montmorency Falls
Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a spectacular historic site. From the cable car, the 83-metre-high waterfall dominates the landscape. Just as beautiful, on the other side, is the view of the St. Lawrence River, Île d'Orléans, and Québec City.

2- Maison d'affinage Maurice Dufour
As one of the pioneers in the field of artisan cheesemaking in Quebec, Maurice Dufour creates quality artisanal cheeses and dazzles with its exceptional know-how and ingenuity. Unique creations by equally unique cheesemakers who even make gin from their whey.

3- La laiterie de Charlevoix
Originally dedicated to dairy distribution, the fourth generation family-owned company adapted through time. It now produces Cheddar and fine cheeses, invested in methanization to reduce its environmen-tal footprint and participates in the rescue of the Canadienne cow breed .

This activity includes a 3-hour round bus ride, cable car visit of the Montmorency falls, lunch, visit of the two cheese dairies and product tasting.
